Questions and information regarding aires in France and other places to park up and stay over

Aires at Le Menuires

Unread postby Barney2 » Sun Feb 02, 2014 16:57

Hi - I can see that there was an update from 2011 saying that it is nigh on impossible to get the tokens needed for electric T Les Menuires as they only take French Credit cards? Has anyone stayed there since? and is situation still the same? We can ski there for a day on our pass so thinking could be an option - nice to know if electric would be possoble
Thanks for any update

Stayed at the aire last season , entry and purchase of token by card only.
The electric hook up was a bit temperamental as yuou have to press a button to move connection to join up electric before inserting token . Wasted a couple of token as the connection inside unit did not link up (? Very cold when it failed) other times. It. Worked. hope info helps

We stayed at Les Menuires 2012 and had a brilliant time. It is so close to the slopes and the village. When we arrived in the afternoon there were no electric spots so I ran my onboard generator until someone complained about the noise. We got it sorted out and shared an electric point for the rest of the trip. We were invited to a German neighbours 75 birthday party and do they know how to party. The French neighbours were not impressed Going to head there for a few days at the start of March so if you see an Northern Ireland registration give the door a knock
