Best Run

As no one has posted on here I thought I'd open the account with the best run you've done. My suggestions are
1. Valle Blanche in Chamonix
2. Sarenne of the back of the Pic Noir at Alpes D'huez

Re: Best Run.Advice on Valle Blanche

They are GOOD runs. What a great site you have set up.!!Must have been many days work. Thanks

My advice if you do The Valle Blanche is to ask at your guide's office the day before what the lower snow level is. It may be worth packing some light boots or shoes in your backpack for the walk back to Chamonix. You guide will probably be wearing touring boots which are not so bad for walking in.
If there is plenty of snow on the lower section you will wonder what I am talking about if you have to walk any distance in you regular ski boots you will wish you had heeded my advice.Just ask before you set off."Why did't you tell us" is heard in many languages early and late season on the walk back!!

Enjoy.

Two runs spring to mind, when conditions are right:

1. Pas de Chevre - Chamonix - Not for the faint hearted. Off Piste. Need a guide unless you know this area very well.
2. The Wild n' Grubben at Stubai Glacier - 10km On piste ski out that's as close to back country as you can get whilst still on-piste.

I'm a boarder so I'm slightly biased for the off piste world of champagne powder.
If it's steep and Deep it'll do
